- accelerated visualization of 2D graphics;
- speed up selection of components in drawings;
- accelerated drawing of raster type.
The browser model has undergone significant changes.
Firstly, tabs appeared in browser can be opened as many times as possible and docked both in a horizontal and in a vertical row. Secondly, it is possible easily switch between different browser views with single click in one tab.
There are a visual lines in the hierarchy with which it became even more convenient to work. Appeared search that allows finding by the names of elements, their properties and interrelations. There was a push-button with three horizontal lines - browser menu, which allows getting access the options for displaying items in the tree and help. In assemblings and presentations, when you select a dependency, a field for editing is displayed next to it.
In the new Inventor 2018 tools and measurement techniques are greatly simplified and improved: now they are more convenient to use and intuitive.
1. New measurement panel. With a single click, detailed information about each set of objects can be displayed, set the accuracy of measurements, and specify the priority of the selection.
2. Any measurement result can be copied to the clipboard.
3. Angle measurement is now available in three ways:
- between segment, axis and a flat face;
- through an arc or a circle;
- through the selection of two points, and then, while holding SHIFT, select the third corner point.
4. With measurements, simultaneous display of the values of Interaxial distance, Minimum distance and Maximum distance.
